padding-left:20px; "><img src="images/tte/nick-boston.jpg" /></div> <p>When I graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor s degree in International Business a career in the electrical distribution industry was nowhere near the top of my list. But after being laid off from my first job out of college, I found myself looking for a new direction and felt the CED training program would be a great fit.</p> <p>During the interview process the most difficult concept for me to grasp was the idea of committing myself for two and half years, and potentially my entire career, to a company and industry I knew so little about. But what I saw was a well-established, family owned company in a strong and stable industry that was offering me a rare opportunity to manage my own small business.</p> <p>Once I decided to commit myself to the program I started at a profit center in Corona, California for my warehouse and counter phase. The smaller location in Corona gave me the chance to ask a lot of questions and to receive more one-on-one training with the product knowledge experts. After that I moved to the Riverside location to do my inside sales and quotations phase. By that time I was commuting over two hours a day and decided to move my wife and myself closer to work. This was difficult on my wife because she had to extend her commute in order to shorten mine. After a month or so my wife was able to get a job at the CED division credit office that has been wonderful and a job she absolutely loves.</p> <p>Right now I am in my outside sales phase and loving every minute of it. I get to work in a great industry that provides challenging and rewarding work while being employed by a supportive company that is filled with great people. I have traveled the country going to product trainings and made lasting friendships with other trainees in the company.</p> <p>I would recommend the CED Management Training Program to any individual who is looking for a long-term career with a great company, who doesn t get frustrated easily and who has the entrepreneurial desire to manage a business as if it s their own.
