“My summer internship with CED really helped solidify my decision for what I wanted to do after graduation. The opportunity to see how a Profit Center operates and how much freedom a Manager has to make his own decisions really made my career choice easy. Now that I have my own Profit Center and the responsibility that goes along with it I look forward to providing the same great training experience I received.”

Internship Program
GET A HEAD START ON YOUR CAREER.
CED is looking for sophomores and juniors in most majors for summer interns. Students will get a hands-on experience (while being paid) in what the business world is about. Working with us over the summer gives students a test run to look at CED as a potential career after graduation. Our structured program generally runs for 10-12 weeks (depending on your summer schedule) with exposure to many aspects of the electrical field. A general guideline of the internship is as follows:
Warehouse Training 4-5 weeks
Operations - Office 1-2 weeks
Counter Training 1-2 weeks
Inside Training 1-2 weeks
Outside Shadowing 1 week
Working with other locations* 1 week
Time with location Manager* 1 week
Special Projects* 1-3 weeks
* Will take place throughout internship
In most cases internships can be adjusted to meet requirements needed in order to receive school credit. There are over 100 locations with the opportunity to have an internship.
