Credit serves our profit centers and customers by managing the credit extension and collection process. The primary role of the credit manager is to protect the assets of the company while maximizing sales. The credit manager will have a strong aptitude to analyze risk and make financial decisions in the best interests of the company. The candidate will have a strong desire to work in a sales and marketing environment.
A credit management trainee candidate must be a well organized, effective multi-tasker, with a Bachelor's degree in a business related field, no prior experience is necessary. The candidate will work alongside an experienced credit manager to learn all aspects of financial management in the electrical wholesaling industry. The duration of the training program is 2-3 years, depending on the experience level of the candidate. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to share concepts and ideas with internal and external customers. The defined training program prepares the candidate to effectively administer CED's credit policy through proficiency in financial review, problem solving, construction lien laws, and negotiations.
